Happy Spring!

Silas is over nine months old, now. He's crawling all over the house (including going up the stairs and chasing after the cats) and LOVES to eat. I didn't know how fast time could fly until having a child. We're so happy that it's springtime and are trying to take every advantage of being outside. Silas loves to go for walks, and we have a lot of other moms and babies to join us. Here are some recent pictures. Hope everyone's doing well! Laurie

Well, just some updates. Eric and I are expecting our second child in April, the ultrasound says it's a baby girl. Now time to narrow down the names and to buy clothes...

Trying to get ready for the holidays, have most of our shopping done. We're going back to Iowa in between Thanksgiving and Christmas to see everyone, otherwise we're sticking to home.

Austin in the Park

Here's our little boy with his John Deere shirt on.. (Sorry Great Grandpa!!). Isn't he about the cutest thing you've ever seen?

Here's a couple of pictures Kelly took at Hartman Rerserve inCedar Falls. Austin is carrying his dog, Brutus who he was pretty attached to while in was in Cedar Falls. He's actually given up both Brutus and his pacifier now. LH

Hey, just thought I'd say hi and tell how things are going down in southwest Missouri.

We just got done having Austin's second birthday party. He fully enjoyed having the attention and the company, had so much fun that he never wanted to go to bed much to our dismay. We had mom down, plus my dad, his girlfriend and her two kids. It was a full house! On Saturday Austin went with my dad to a waterpark, he's not much for getting wet, but had fun. On Sunday we rented a ski boat at Table Rock Lake, we had a blast. On the fourth, we had a bbq for his party and he got lots of great gifts. I will have to say that he's a John Deere boy, loves his tractors and can tell you what kind he has, be it a combine, a grader, or whatever.
Also on the fourth Eric and I volunteered at I Love America, a free thing our church does. They hold this huge "party" if you will. They will have all of these kids games, fireworks, music, airshows, all free for the public. I think last year more than 100,000 people were there. Eric and I never stay for the fireworks though, Austin doesn't like the noise and we don't want to get stuck in the traffic leaving.
